Oakworth worked with Arkwood Developments, a private company owned by Newark and Sherwood to help them complete the development project went in the previous contractor went in to administration.
Oakworth construction and Arkwood’s delivery team moved swiftly and the whole process from initial contact to getting on site was only 5 weeks. Oakworth Timber Engineering who are part of the Oakworth Group provided invaluable support delivering and completing the timber in only 5 weeks for commencement on site.
All this would not have been possible without a one team approach.
The project has been completed on time and on budget and handed over to a very happy client!
Project Highlights
One team approach – Without an open and inclusive team approach this project would not be where it is now. Clarity has been provided by Arkwood’s delivery team and freedom has been given to allow Oakworth and their supply chain to deliver.
Employment opportunities – 12 apprentices have worked on the project. Bringing young people into the working environment is essential to allow construction to flourish.
Engagement – In addition to helping the client find a road map to allow them to recover from the difficult situation, Oakworth worked with most of the existing supply chain to help them get back on to the project and complete their works. An open event was booked and all stakeholders invited to explain how they could also recover an amount of their lost funds whilst helping Oakworth deliver the project.
